Open to all Junior members, the Saturday morning Club is included in your annual membership fee and designed to be fun and enjoyable for all abilities. Please see our Junior Club – FAQ sheet for participation details.
We are delighted with the continued high level of participation during last year’s season. Our plans this year is to continue the mix riding out in the forest and formal skills training for the Junior Club each time we run a session. This way we can coach riding techniques and then the Junior’s can go out into the Forest to practise their newly acquired skills.
With all our Juniors’ we will be encouraging everyone to come along to our own BFCC Race Series to participate or just watch and cheer-on your fellow members. It’s a great morning event full of fun and thrills with the weekly coaching session on these days dedicated to supporting the young riders to race. We would actively encourage parents to join in, help and support the riders to participate. It’s a great family day.
Meeting Point & Diary dates
The Saturday Junior Club starts at 10am and finishes at 12noon. The meeting point at our training area is to enable the coach’s to spend more time coaching our young riders. We ask Parents & Riders to meet the coaches at the training area for 9.45am – please allow for a 10-minute walk to the training area from the carpark, which is located halfway up the fire road hill leading to the start of the single red route track. If unsure when you arrive for the first time then do ask one of our members for direction who will generally be waiting around Quench bike wash area. For Parents/Guardians collecting children, the coaches will return the riders to the carpark, so please be prompt and collect your children from the Quench bike wash at 12 noon.
Please ensure that you bring snacks, plenty to drink and appropriate clothing for our great British weather – good or bad.
NOTE: Free drop-off & pick-up parking only last 20 minutes, thereafter a charge will apply.
