A new format for the way events are presented and done has been agreed and this should mean the chance for more of you to get involved.

You'll see an explanation of the different events, with all relevant information, and then the Calendar itelf so have a look through what we'll be offering and see what you most want to join in with.

Night Rides - every Thursday to the end of May and then every Wednesday from June onward

These will take place every Wednesday (Thursday until the end of May) from 1900 - 2130hrs (at the latest). Meet at the Visitor Centre but the gates will be only open from 1845 -1900hrs so be on time!

The club has a couple of sets of lights to loan, but these will be issued on a first come, first served basis.

Volunteer Working Parties - 2nd Saturday e/month

The second Saturday of each month will be given over to organised working parties, where club members will be heading off into the forest to work on the singletrack or freeride areas, repairing or building depending on what is required.

The tasks will be posted on the website and the notice board at the Visitors Centre approximately two weeks before the event and all attending will meet at the FC District Offices for a 1000hrs start with a finish around 1600hrs.

MTB Club & Skills Ride - 1st & 3rd Saturdays e/month

The 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month will see the club rides take place. Adults and children are welcome and thse rides will be not only for a fun social ride, but also for those wishing to improve their MTB skills and confidence levels.

These are not coaching sessions but will cover all aspects of riding from simple balance techniques, to gear selection as well as more technical stuff, all done in a friendly environment.

We'll use all parts of the forest- some bits you'll already know and some really good bits you might not!

It's open to everyone in the club so please do come along!

Outrides - 4th Sunday e/month

BECAUSE OF THE CURRENT AMOUNT OF WORKING PARTIES TAKING PLACE TO CONTINUE THE GROWTH OF THE TRAILS, OUT RIDES ARE NOT CURRENTLY TAKING PLACE- WE WILL UPDATE YOU WHEN THEY RETURN TO THE CALENDAR.

This is your chance to try pastures new. Every 4th Sunday in the month will see a planned ride somewhere away from Bedgebury that will give riders the opportunity to try out their skills at another site well known (or in some cases still quite secret) to the biking fraternity.

The route information, times and meeting places will be announced around two weeks before the event on the website and the Visitor Centre notice board.

Bike Maintenance Courses

Those lovely people over at Quench Cycles are offering bike maintenance courses led by fully qualified MTB technicians. Three types of course are offered and these will give you all the information, confidence and skills needed to properly maintain your bike, and help with those little problems out on the trails.

The sessions will be held at Quench at Badgebury and would normally be charged to other organisations at £95.00 + p/p so the prices we have negotiated mean real value for money- and if you are a club member you save even more!

These courses are striclty limited to numbers (4-6 people per session) so booking is essential. Contact Quench on 01580879694.

Please see the link below for information on pricing and what each course covers.
