If you value your access to the Bedgebury Forest and don't want the parking fees and membership fee to rise, please read the attached.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
In summary, there is a chance that the Forestry Commission will not get an extension on their planning permission to use the overflow car park in the field to the left. If, like me, you've never used it, you may wonder how it will effect you - well here goes!
Without the field, there will be less room for cars so access will be restricted. This will lead to access closure when the main car park is full AND will mean an INCREASE in the parking charges (which will limit numbers and retain the income the FC need).
So what can you do?
WRITE A LETTER OR EMAIL. Stating what impact you believe the closure of the field will have on you. There isn't a standard letter or a petition, as these are known to have limited effect. The best effect is for you to write an individual letter or email.
Please don't leave it to the next person to do it and think that others will protect the access we enjoy. It really is down to you to take 10 minutes and write that letter or email of support and send it too:
Antonia James,
Tunbridge Wells Borough Council,

or by email to antonia.james@tunbridgewells.gov.uk
The Planning Application number is 09/01083
So please don't ignore this post and write NOW!
Thank you.
