Well, I've received a letter following the planning meeting last week. Good news and bad ....
The good news is the extension has been granted for another year - the bad news is there are so many restrictions and one being that it can only be used in June, July and August. As we are now in September, the overflow car park cannot be used. As a result, the Visitor Centre was closed for a period on Sunday as the main car park was full.
Don't panic just yet as the FC are looking at their options but it is fair to assume that if we have good weather at the weekends and school holidays, there is a chance the car park will be closed at some point during the day.
So what do we do? Plan our visits to avoid busy times (who wants to park on the field anyway?) but if we find the car park is closed, continue to be respectfull to the parking attendants - it is not their fault.
I'm waiting on some 'official' wording from the FC to put on the front page but until then, check your letter box - if you wrote and requested to be kept up to date, you should receive a written response that goes into far more detail than I have put here.
Carl.
